Following guidelines given by Major General Mano Perera, Commander, Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C), troops of the SFHQ - C organized a donation ceremony with the financial assistance of Sri Visuddhi Foundation, Thalawatugoda headed by Ven. Meerahawatta Pannasiri Thero. Under the programme, a few Buddhist places of worship in the area, received essential accessories and utensils.
Commander, SFHQ-C, Brigade Commander, 112 Brigade, officers and other ranks serving the SFHQ-C and a large gathering of the general public attended the programme.
Meanwhile, SFHQ-C troops together with Sri Visuddhi Foundation organized a Medical Camp to identify non-communicable diseases among the public at Devananda College, Meerahawatta on Sunday (1).
The medical camp consisted of Ayurvedic Clinic, Eye Clinic, Dental Clinic, Carcinoma Syndromes Screening Clinic and Specialist Medical Clinic, Blood Donation Campaign and donated essential school amenities for 250 needy students. A long time scholarship for students was also launched on the same occasion.
The programme provided free medicine and provided medical advice to the general public in Welimada area.
