CDS Begins First Working Day at OCDS

A brief reception on account of the first working day of the New Year and Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Shavendra Silva's first visit to the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff (OCDS) at the BMICH complex got underway this afternoon (01) after he arrived at the location symbolizing assumprtion of duties in the New Year.

After customary military formalities, presented by Tri service Senior Officers serving the OCDS, a tea table with traditional sweet-meants enabled him to share a few thoughts with those Officers present. As a special feature, General Shavendra Silva afterwards awarded gift parcels to civil staffers working in the OCDS as New Year incentives.

General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army also spoke a few words with the Officers and others and shared a few greetings on account of the New Year.

Director BMICH, Mr Sunil Disanayake, Major General Priyantha Gamage DGGS, Rear Admiral Rohan Lelwala DG Naval and Air , Air commodore Rohan Hemasinghe DG Coordinating and a few more were associated with the programme. Nike footwear | Nike
