His Excellency David McKinnon, High Commissioner of Canada in Sri Lanka, together with Mr. Ponnuthurai Gobinath, Political Officer at the Canadian High Commission in Sri Lanka paid a courtesy visit to the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna on Friday (26).
Visiting officials were warmly welcomed by the Commander Security Force – Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera.
During the cordial meeting at the Jaffna Commander's office, visitors exchanged views with Major General Priyantha Perera on civil-military cooperation, social welfare projects, security concerns, development assistance, reconciliation process, etc.
Further, matters, related to control of COVID-19 in the Jaffna peninsula as well as promotion of cultural activities were taken up for discussion. At the end of the meeting, mementos were exchanged to mark the significance of the occasion.
