Bee-keeping as a Domestic Industry Established in Kilinochchi

Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) after introducing bee-keeping as a self-employment project for underprivileged families formally commenced on Friday (2) during a brief ceremony, led by Major General Vijitha Ravipriya, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi.

Earlier, SFHQ-KLN with a view to popularizing the economically sound project held a couple of workshops and training sessions in selected residential areas.

To coincide with the inauguration, another two-day long workshop got underway under the supervision of the General Officer Commanding of 65 Division, Major General Wasantha Kumarapperuma.

Troops received training on bee-keeping at the Agriculture School, Wariyaopla during 1-2 August. One Officer and 25 Other Ranks attended the workshop representing 57, 65 and 66 Divisions of the SFHQ-KLN.
