Major General Dammika Ranasinghe, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 23 Division of the Security Force HQ-East made his first visit to the District Secretariat for Batticaloa on Friday (1) after assuming duties as the District Coordinating Officer - Batticaloa for prevention of COVID 19 outbreak.
The GOC held discussions with the District Secretary, Mr K Karunaharan on the sudden increase of COVID - 19 positive cases in the district. Commander 231 Brigade Colonel Pradeep Gamage also joined the GOC during the meet with the District Secretary.
Meanwhile, Major General Dammika Ranasinghe on Sunday (3) attended a conference, held at Batticaloa District Secretariat and discussed matters pertaining to Covid -19 with the stakeholders at the District Secretariat office in Batticaloa.
