Bangladesh National Defence College Team Arrives on Familiarization Tour

A 28 member delegation from the Bangladesh National Defence College (NDC), arrived in Sri Lanka Sunday (26) morning on a familiarization tour, as part of their study programme.

The delegation during their ten day stay in Sri Lanka is expected to call on the Secretary Defence, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Air Force, Commander of the Army, Commander of the Navy, Inspector General of Police, Commissioner General of Rehabilitation, External Affairs Ministry officials, Security Forces Commanders in Jaffna and the East, Naval Area Commanders in Jaffna and the East, Defence Service Command and Staff College at Sapugaskanda Bangladesh High Commissioner, Central Bank of Sri Lanka, BOI officials, Parliament officials and several other leading public officials before they visit places of historical, cultural and religious interest towards the latter part of their itinerary in the island.

The 28 member delegation, headed by Brigadier General Humayun Bakht, Bangladesh Army, comprises of student officers from Armed Forces of Bangladesh, India, Jordan, Nepal, Pakistan, Qatar, China, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria and Bangladesh Civil Service.

The visit of Bangladesh National Defence College Delegation takes place, exactly a week after another 16 member delegation from the India’s National Defence College arrived in the country. (Ends)
