The Assistant Defence Attache at the High Commission of India in Sri Lanka, Lieutenant Colonel Puneet Sushil bringing seasonal compliments paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head of the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID 19 Outbreak, General Shavendra Silva on Wednesday (6) at the Army Headquarters.
During the cordial interaction, the Indian envoy paid his gratitude to the Commander of the Army for the cooperation and prevailing sound working relations between both organizations and extended his best wishes for the New Year. At the same time, General Shavendra Silva reminded the visiting envoy of the reciprocal understanding both countries enjoy from time immemorial as close neighbours. They also shared views on COVID-19 concerns and ongoing preventive measures against transmission of COVID-19 pandemic in both here and India.
