ASL's New Commandant Assumes Duties

Brigadier Ranjan Jayasekara of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Regiment assumed duties as the 6th Commandant of the Army School of Logistics (ASL), Trincomalee on 15 January 2021.

The Army School of Logistics, accredited to the Kotealawala Defence University, is dedicated to produce qualified Officers in the art of logistics. The ASL awards 'MBA in Logistics Management' degree after the successful completion of the LSC, 'Logistics Staff Course'.

An elegant Guard Turnout presented by 4 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps troops greeted him on his arrival before members of the Maha Sanga invoked blessings on his new appointment by chanting 'Seth Pirith' and blessed his new office as the new Commandant.

Amidst chanting, the new Commandant placed his signature for an official document, symbolizing the formal acceptance of the duties at the auspicious time and received greetings from all senior officers who were present at the occasion.

Finally, the new Commandant planted a Mango tree sapling to mark his assumption of duties.

Before assuming duties as the Commandant of the Army School of Logistics, Brigadier Ranjan Jayasekara, was serving as the Deputy Director, Directorate of Overseas Operations. latest Running Sneakers | Nike sneakers
