Student Officers following the Junior Officers’ Logistic Course No - 17 at Army School of Logistics in Trincomalee recently had a tour to the Naval and Maritime Academy in Trincomalee plus a visit to the Naval Museum.
Navy Officers conducting briefings for those visiting Officers on the role of the Academy explained about Naval Logistics, Warehouse Management, Logistic Management and other relevant subjects. They also learnt about the functional aspect of the new coastal guard naval ship ‘Samudra’.
The Commandant at Naval and Maritime Academy after a warm reception discussed about the supply chain management of both Army and Navy troops. Brigadier J.A.R.S.K Jayasekara, Commandant, ASL, senior instructors at ASL and a few Officers joined the study tour.
Meanwhile, the same group on Saturday (20) undertook a tour to the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy in China Bay where they were received by the Commanding Officer at the Academy and facilitated the visitors to receive a comprehensive briefing on the history of the Air Force, Academy and other general matters.
Afterwards, all students officers had the chance of visiting the most essential faculties in the Academy. Before their departure, Brigadier G.B Liyanage, Deputy Commandant, ASL presented a memento to the SLAF Commanding Officer at the Academy.affiliate link trace | FASHION NEWS
