ARTRAC Commander Speaks to ASL Course Officers

The Commander Army Training Command (ARTRAC), Major General Sena Waduge made his first official visit to the Army School of Logistics (ASL), Trincomalee on Monday (29) to be warmly welcomed by the Commandant, Brigadier Ranjan Jayasekara and the Staff at the Army School of Logistics.

After reviewing the elegant Guard Turnout, the Commander ARTRAC witnessed a presentation, submitted by the Commandant regarding the role and tasks of the ASL, its training programmes and facilities.

To mark his visit to the ASL, the Commander Army Training Command Major General Sena Waduge planted a Mango sapling. Afterwards, gifts and new dresses were distributed among civil staffers by the Commander, ARTRAC in appreciation of their service.

After that, the visiting Commander addressed all the Officers and Other Ranks and also the Student Officers of Logistics Staff Course No 07 and Junior Officers Logistics Course No 17. They were also given the opportunity to share their valuable thoughts during the brief interaction that followed.

Next, the Commander ARTRAC undertook a visit to see the training facilities and the Sand Model Room where he received a comprehensive briefing on the planned final exercise of Junior Officers Logistics Course No 17, “Ex Steering Wheel”.

As a formality, the Commander Army Training Command penned a complimentary note in the Visitors’ Book. At the end of the cordial interaction, a memento was presented by the Commandant ASL, Brigadier Ranjan Jayasekara to the Commander ARTRAC.
