Two wrestlers of the Army, Lance Corporal E S M Priyankara and Lance Corporal U M C Albert after beating their rivals in the International Wrestling Championship Tournament in Pakistan, won Bronze medals, bringing credit to the Army and the country.
The tournament lasted in Pakistan for six days (Dec 4-10) was contested by five countries in the region.
Both of them arrived in Sri Lanka on Tuesday (11) with their medals to a warm welcome at the airport. Several senior officers of the Army Wrestling Committee were there to receive them at the airport.
