Troops attached to the 211 Brigade in Vavuniya in cooperation with Alliance Development Trust prepared a Children’s Park for students at Vavuniya - Salambakulam Al Aksha Vidyalaya.
Army troops serving 211 Brigade provided labour for ground preparations and other beautification work of the park, a long-felt need of those school students.
The cerermony in this connection took place at the new park venue with the participation of Brigadier P.M.S.A. Pallemulla, 211 Brigade Commander, in the company of Mr Ebrahim Rahul, Regional Coordinating Officer for Alliance Development Trust.
At the same occasion, thirty-nine families, resident in Pavakkulam (unit 1 sector village received 117 barbed wire rolls and 250 kg metal nails, much required for them for construction of their fences. The same Alliance Development Trust has sponsored the donation of barbed wire.
