Army Taekwondo Team Does Well in Nepal

Sri Lanka's National Taekwondo Federation team, comprised of 6 Army players who vied at the 3rd Mount Everest International Open Taekwondo Championship, held during 22-25 September in Nepal's Pokara City and Sri Lankan players won 4 Medals, three of which were achieved by Army players.

The 10-member National Team included 6 Army players including women and Army Players of the team exclusively contributed to win 3 medals in the Championship tournament.

The winners are as follows:

Corporal HHR Wanigasekara - 12 Gemunu Watch (Bronze)

Corporal WC Srimathee - 5 Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps
