Sri Lanka Army Rowers showed their true colours at the 1st National Indoor Rowing Championship Tournament,i held during February 26-28 at Kotalawala Defence University indoor stadium.
A total of 20 teams representing the tri-forces, universities, schools and local clubs participated in the championship in the stadium where symbolic rowing contests began.
Sri Lanka Army Men’s and women’s teams won the Overall Men’s & Women’s Championships respectively. In total, Army bagged 25 Gold medals, 18 Silver medals and 11 Bronze medals.
In addition, several New Records were made by Army Rowers including one National Record.
