Labour offered by Army personnel serving 6 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) unit under 572 Brigade in Waddakachchi Grama Seva Division, Kilinochchi, enabled the construction of three more new houses at Mayawanoor village for three down-trodden families.
The formal hand-over of those three new houses, built with state support, to selected families, took place on Friday (6) during a brief ceremony, headed by Major General Crishantha de Silva, Commander, Security Forces Headquarters, Kilinochchi.
Keys to those houses were given away by Major General Crishantha de Silva to the recipients on the occasion as Brigadier K.R.P. Rowel, General Officer Commanding, 57 Division, 572 Brigade Commander and Commanding Officer, 6 SLNG, together with several other senior officers looked on.
