The Sri Lanka Karate-Do Federation organized a Karate Championship Tournament at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium on 16 June 2024. Under the guidance of Major General S.W.M Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, the President of the Sri Lanka Army Karate Committee, Army players participated in the tournament.
The Army players displayed exceptional prowess, clinching a total of 05 Gold Medals, 05 Silver Medals and 08 Bronze Medals across various categories. Additionally, the Army women’s team achieved notable success with 01 Gold Medal and 02 Bronze Medals, highlighting their prowess in karate.
