The day's special visitor to the location (see Photo Story), together with Mrs Sujeewa Nelson, President, Army Seva Vanitha Unit closely watched the quality eacle brooms and domestic brooms that have been hand-made by those disabled War Heroes whose medical conditions have now improved over the years and afterwards visited cultivation beds and plots where manioc, sweet potatoes, leafy vegetables, etc are being grown by a section of those War Heroes with multiple injuries.

The facility at Anuradhapura provides specialized post injury care which cannot be obtained at domestic level and which is also vital for their survival. Most of the disabled soldiers housed at the facility are from the Anuradhapura district.
