General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head of the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) met the Principal Staff Officers (PSOs) of the Army Headquarters for the first time in the New Year today (25) and exchanged views on proposed strategies for organizational advancement and future prospects for the country's largest manpower organization.
The meeting with those new set of PSOs discussed how the organization could forge ahead in keeping with the newly-devised 'Way Forward Strategy 2020-2025', training opportunities, and how the troops could be used for nation-building tasks, etc in a more productive manner.
The Army Chief also requested those PSOs to submit their own proposals and observations in terms of those concerns under discussion and sought their contribution for further improvement of those future approaches.
