Another Expatriate Shows Concern for War Heroes

An expatriate, resident in Australia, Mr. Madhuka Abeykoon, was the latest to join the line of patriotic Sri Lankans in assisting disable War Heroes.

Recently, following coordination done by the Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB), an artificial limb, worth about Rs.135,000/= was donated  to a disable War Hero receiving rehabilitation at Rana Viru Sevana, Ragama.

It was handed over to the beneficiary, Rifleman R. M. G. Rathnayake Banda of 14th Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment by parents and family members of the donor during a simple ceremony at Rana Viru Sevana Friday (19) evening.

After the ceremony, the visitors also spoke to residential War Heroes and shared a couple of views with them in order to find their requirements. Those rehabilitees were entertained to a musical session in the evening at the request of the donors. Rehabilitees were served to tea and refreshments later on.
