9,881 Persons in 99 Tri Service-Managed QCs Still in Quarantine - NOCPCO

As of this morning (21), a total of 349 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID -19 in the past 24 hours. 03 Sri Lankan expatriates and 346 of those positive cases are locally-identified ones, including the majority 229 from Gamapaha district, 20 from Galle district, 19 from Colombo district and 78 others from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (21), a total of 89,845 persons, inclusive of 85,790 of the fish market and Minuwangoda Brandix cluster have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 86,465 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 2,835 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centers.

In the past 24 hours, one death was reported from Buwelikada area. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 545 by this morning (21).
