As of this morning (10), a total of 976 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 1 Sri Lankan expatriate and 975 others are locally-identified ones, including the majority 252 from Colombo district, 227 from Gampaha district, 150 from Kandy district and 346 others from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
By this morning (10), a total of 71,210 persons, inclusive of 64,646 of the fish market have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 65,052 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 5,788 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.
In the past 24 hours, 912 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. 5 more deaths have been reported from Ketawala, Anuradhapura, Kapuliyadda, Kurunegala and Moratuwa areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 370 by this morning (10).
