96 new recruits at the Corps of Engineer Service Trade School (CESTS) Headquarters at Galayaya during a military parade passed out on Thursday (25) after successful completion of their 3-month long training.
Colonel Commandant of Corps of Engineer Service and Commander, Forward Maintenance Area - Mullaitivu, Major General Rathnasiri Ganegoda, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. A Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour presented by soldiers of the Engineer Service Trade School (ESTS) saluted the Chief Guest.
Special awards to Recruit J.W Suranga (Best in Physical), Recruit K.V.L.A Fernando (Best Shot) and Recruit W.M.L.D Wijerathne (Best All Rounder) were presented by Major General Rathnasiri Ganegoda on the same occasion.
