936 More Positive Cases Identified-NOCPCO

As of this morning (13), a total of 940 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 4 Sri Lankan expatriates and 936 of those positive cases are locally-identified ones, including the majority 278 from Gampaha district, 261 from Colombo district, 88 from Kandy district and 309 others from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (13), a total of 74,055 persons, inclusive of 70,535 of the fish market and Minuwangoda Brandix cluster have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 66,983 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 6,688 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centers.

In the past 24 hours, 773 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. 5 more deaths have been reported from Colombo 12, Colombo 8, Kotagala, Matugama and Kotahena areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 384 by this morning (13).
