As of this morning (14), a total of 796 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. All of them are locally-identified ones, including the majority 280 from Colombo district, 128 from Gampaha district, 91 from Kandy district and 297 others from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
By this morning (14), a total of 74,851 persons, inclusive of 71,331 of the fish market and Minuwangoda Brandix cluster have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 67,830 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 6,631 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centers.
In the past 24 hours, 847 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. 6 more deaths have been reported from Kandy, Bandaragama, Habaraduwa, Nittambuwa, Negombo and Narangoda areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 390 by this morning (14).
As of this morning (14), 9,074 persons in 93 tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (13) 16,387 PCR tests have been conducted. Sport media | NIKE
