802 More Persons Confirmed Positive to COVID-19 in the Past 24 Hours -NOCPCO

As of this morning (15), a total of 802 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. All of them are locally-identified ones, including the majority 238 from Colombo district, 162 from Gampaha district, 68 from Kalutara district and 333 others from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (15), a total of 75,653 persons, inclusive of 72,132 of the fish market and Minuwangoda Brandix cluster have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 68,695 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 6,631 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centers.

In the past 24 hours, 865 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. 7 more deaths have been reported from Jaffna, Peradeniya, Mahawela, Kurunegala, Gampola, Angoda and Gothatuwa areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 397 by this morning (14).
