7,943 Still under Treatment in Hospitals & Care Centres - NOCPCO

As of this morning (30), a total of 460 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Four of them are Sri Lankan expatriates and three were foreigners visiting here. Other 453 are locally-identified ones, including the majority 249 from Colombo, 38 from Kandy district, 52 from Gampaha district and other 114 are from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (30), the total number of COVID-19 positive cases reported from Minuwangoda garment factory employees and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster stands at 38,321. Meanwhile, 31,167 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients from the fish market (35,262) and Minuwangoda (3,059) clusters have been discharged from hospitals.

By this morning (30), a total of 42,062 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 33,924 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 7,943 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.

By this morning (30), 704 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres in the past 24 hours. 01 more death has been reported from Wellampitiya area in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 195 by this morning (29).

By this morning (30), the flight QR 668 from Qatar with 07 passengers, the flight UL 208 from the UAE with 152 passengers and the flight UL 104 from the Maldives with 25 passengers and the flight UL 1510 from the UAE with 153 passengers have arrived. The flight UL 226 from the UAE with 54 passengers, the flight UL 1042 from India with 28 passengers, the flight AI 282 from India with 25 passengers, the flight UL 102 from the Maldives with 01 passenger, the flight UL 190 from Bangladesh with 20 passengers, the flight UL 303 from Singapore with 06 passengers, the flight UL 881 from China with two passengers and the flight EY 264 from the UAE with 14 passengers are expected to arrive here within the day (30). They all were/were to be referred to Quarantine Centers (QCs), managed by tri-services upon their arrival after formalities at the airport.
