7,444 Still in Quarantine in 98 Centres-NOCPCO

As of this morning (1), a total of 864 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them 27 are Sri Lankan expatriates and others are locally-identified ones, including the majority 362 from Colombo district, 88 from Gampaha district, 81 from Kandy district and other 306 from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (1), a total of 64,156 persons, inclusive of 60,179, of the fish market and Brandix has been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 57158 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 6,682 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.

In the past 24 hours, 882 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. 03 more deaths have been reported from Kaduwela, Angruwathota and Colombo -8 areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 308 by this morning (30).
