7233 Persons in 67 Tri-service-managed QCs are Still in Quarantine- NOCPCO

As of this morning (27), 04 persons who arrived from overseas were confirmed positive to COVID-19. They are from Qatar (03) at Viddatallapai QC and (01) from UAE at Punani Brandix QC states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (27), the total number of detainees in quarantine at Kandakadu and Senapura Treatment and Rehabilitation Centres for Drug Addicts stands at 650. The flight EY 648 from Dubai with 36 passengers, the flight QR 668 from Qatar with 32 passengers and the flight 6E 9034 from Qatar with 22 civil sea farers have arrived in Colombo. All of those passengers were referred to Quarantine Centres, managed by tri-services after formalities at the airport.

Within the day (27), 467 quarantined individuals after PCR tests are set to leave for their homes. Of them, 09 persons are from Kosgoda QC, 13 from Galle Amari Hotel QC, 191 from Marawila QC, 20 from Hotel Dolphin QC, 01 from Jetwing Beach Hotel, 05 from Jetwing Lagoon Hotel QC, 06 from Negombo Amagi Aarya QC and 222 more persons from Punani QC.

Likewise, 45, 175 individuals by this morning (27) have been sent back home after quarantining. As of this morning (27), 7233 persons in 67 tri-service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (26), 1520 PCR tests were carried out across the country and the total PCR tests conducted so far stands at 279,740.

Meanwhile, 28 positive COVID-19 cases after full recovery left hospitals early this morning (27). 28 of them are expatriates in quarantine at QCs.

By 6.00 this morning (27), the total number of detainees in quarantine at Kandakadu and Senapura Treatment and Rehabilitation Centres for Drug Addicts stands at 648. Of them, 02 infected individuals are still under treatment. (Ends) Adidas footwear | nike
