708 More Fully Recovered - NOCPCO

As of this morning (19), a total of 662 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 2 of them are expatriates and other 660 are locally-identified ones, including the majority 259 from Colombo, 79 from Gampaha district, 164 from Kaluthara District and other 158 are from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (19), the total number of COVID-19 positive cases reported from Minuwangoda garment factory employees and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster stands at 32,376. Meanwhile, 23,653 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients from both Minuwangoda (3,059) and fish market (29,317) clusters have been discharged from hospitals.

Up to yesterday (18), a total of 36,048 persons have been confirmed COVID-19 positive from all over the country, including the dead. 27,060 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 8,823 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.

By this morning (19), 708 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres within last 24 hours. 05 deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours and death toll rose up to 165.

By this morning (19), the flight EY 264 from UAE with 35 passengers the flight UL 320 from Malayasia with 14 passengers, the flight QR 668 from Qatar with 37 passengers, the flight UL1026 from India with 55 passengers, the flight UL 218 from Qatar with 82 passengers have arrived. The flight UL867 from China with 05 Passengers, WY373 from Oman with 50 passengers, UL554 from Germany with 03 passengers are expected to arrive here. They all were/were to be referred to Quarantine Centers (QCs), managed by tri-services upon their arrival after formalities at the airport.
