6,811 PCR Tests Conducted-NOCPCO

As of this morning (4), a total of 167 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID -19 in the past 24 hours. 32 Sri Lankan expatriates and 135 of those positive cases are locally-identified ones, including the majority 53 from Colombo District, 17 from Gampaha District, 10 from Kalutara District and 55 others from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (4), a total of 93,294 persons, inclusive of 88,928 of the fish market and Minuwangoda Brandix cluster have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 90,020 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 2,695 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centers.

In the past 24 hours, 320 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. Likewise, four more deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 575 by this morning (4).
