The sponsorship provided by a philanthropist to the 68 Division HQ of the Security Force HQ -Mullaittivu enabled the troops to offer free cooked meals to more than 600 devotees attending the annual Pooja at Muththumari Amman Hindu temple and distribute packs of school accessories to some 80 pre school kids in the area on Saturday (9).
9 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops of the 68 Division organized both events with the help of priests in the temple and trustees as part of their civil-military cooperation community projects. Troops took the burden of cooking those vegetarian meals in their camp. Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe, Commander, SF-Mullaittivu and the 68 Division's General Officer Commanding gave their guidelines and blessings to the projects.
The Commanding Officer, 9 SLNG and few senior Officers with troops joined both projects.
