66 Jaffna Youths &;amp; Girls Join Civil Security Department

Letters of appointment to 48 Jaffna youths and 18 females in the Civil Security Department (CSD) were delivered during a ceremony, held at the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) auditorium on Thursday (5).

Parents, next of kin and guardians of those Tamil youths and females were present at the occasion to witness their sons and daughters receive those employment opportunities with a handsome salary and other perks.

Major General Udaya Perera, Commander, SFHQ-J addressing the ceremony highlighted the economic, welfare and other benefits those recruits are entitled upon recruitment to the CSD.

Rear Admiral (Retd) Ananda Peiris, Director General, CSD revealed that the CSD is prepared to absorb more than 3000 young men and women for employment in the future from areas, like Mullaittivu and Kilinochchi.

He added that development work, currently being carried out by CSD personnel has come in for praise and prospects for a better future are bright, despite misleading allegations of certain interested parties.

A large gathering, including Mr Pujitha Jayasundara, Senior DIG for Northern Province, District Secretary, Divisional Secretaries, senior officers witnessed the day’s event.
