A consignment of 68,000 kg of organic fertilizer produced by 65 Division troops of the Security Force HQ - Wanni were handed over to the Ceylon Fertilizer Company (Lak Pohora) for onward distribution on Wednesday (9) to be in line with the government’s policy of introducing organic fertilizer for the paddy cultivation for the incoming Yala Season.
The quantity was the result of collective efforts made by all troops including the 651 Brigade of the 65 Division.
Major General Anil Samarasiri, General Officer Commanding of the 65 Division together with the 651 Brigade Commander handed over the stock to the representatives of the Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited.
