64 More GN Divisions Continue to Remain Isolated-NOCPCO

As of this morning (23), a total of 2,093 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 22 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 2,071 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 364 from Gampaha District, 322 from Colombo District, 292 from Kalutara District and 1,093 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (23), a total of 243,912 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 137,925 were reported after the New Year.

By Wednesday (23) morning (past 24 hours), 2009 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. 71 deaths have been reported including 33 males and 38 females on 21 June 2021.

423 persons have left 14 QCs by Wednesday (23) morning after completion of their quarantining process. As of this morning (23), 7,768 persons in 72 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.

The isolation of 340 GN Divisions and 9 Police Divisions has been removed since this morning (23). Likewise, with 11 GN Divisions that were brought under isolation this morning (23), 64 more GN Divisions across the country continue to remain isolated. By this morning (23) at the time this communiqué was released, the lifted travel restrictions remains unchanged.
