Major General Manjula Karunarathna, the newly-appointed General Officer Commanding of the 64 Division HQ visited the 641 Brigade and its under command establishments on Monday (1).
During this visit, Colonel Janak Jayawardena, 641 Brigade Commander, Major Athuldora Arachchi, Commanding Officer of 14 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) gave him a briefing on the role and tasks of the Brigade and other units. A few Officers and Other Ranks attended the occasion.
Meanwhile, Major General Manjula Karaunarathna, the new General Officer Commanding of the 64 Division recently paid formal visits to the 642 Brigade and 643 Brigade camps in the general areas of Oddusudan and Muthiyankaddu.
During these visits, he received briefings on the roles and tasks of respective camps from those Brigade Commanders and joined sapling planting before addressing the troops. Separate Guard Turnout salutes greeted him on arrival.
