Troops of the 62 Division under the Security Force Headquarters Wanni (SFHQ-W) following sponsorship given by the Brave Guard Security Investigation Service (Pvt) Ltd, 1000 of 5 liter drinking water bottles were distributed among drought-hit villagers in Weherathanna, Kambiliwewa, Kohomagaswewa, Weherawewa and Konwewa on Friday (22).
Lieutenant Colonel (Retd) Susantha Gajadeera, Operation Manager, Brave Guard Security Investigation Service (Pvt) Ltd, Civil Affairs Officer, 62 Division, Commanding Officer (CO), 26 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) and several officers attended this occasion.
Meanwhile, with the patronage of Imaduwa Dewalegoda Punara Temple Incumbent and Ven. Kodagoda Kusalananda Tero, 62 Division troops distributed dry ration packets and water bottle among 266 drought affected families at Gajabapura and Monarawewa on Monday (25).
On the guidance of Brigadier K.G.D Perera, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 62 Division this distribution event was coordinated by Colonel I.H.M.N.N Herath, Brigade Commander, 621 Brigade.
