The 55 Division HQ of the Security Force HQ-Jaffna commemorated its 24th Anniversary on 23 December at Kadeikadu with the participation of its General Officer Commanding, Major General Sisira Pilapitiya as the day’s Chief Guest.
The inauguration of the newly-built kitchen building in the Division HQ premises was the highlight of the day since it would facilitate preparation of meals using modern accessories, etc. A formal Guard Turnout on Major General Pilapitiya’s arrival at the location greeted him in keeping with military traditions. The day’s agenda included group photos, troop address of the GOC and an all rank lunch.
