543 Brigade Troops with Sponsorship Provide School Shoes

Thanks to the coordination of Mr Ravi Rajapaksa, an Old Boy of the Dharmaraja College in Kandy, the 543 Brigade troops of the 54 Division under the guidance of Major General Dharshana Wijesekera, General Officer Commanding, 54 Division gave away 110 pairs of school shoes to needy students in Mannar area on Thursday (5) with sponsorship given by the UK-based 'Sweshinee' Welfare Foundation.

The distribution, held at Mannar Cultural Hall was attended by representatives of the coordinators and the sponsors, General Officer Commanding, 54 Division, Brigade Commander, 543 Brigade, Civil Coordination Officer, 54 Division and the Commanding Officer, 12 Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment, Principals and teachers.

54 Division General Officer Commanding and Education Zonal Director for Mannar attended the simple distribution ceremony as Chief Guests.
