542 Persons after Quarantine Leave QCs

As of this morning (24), a total of 2,196 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 18 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 2,178 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 436 from Gampaha District, 324 from Kalutara District, 318 from Colombo District and 1,100 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (24), a total of 246,108 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 140,081 were reported after the New Year.

By Thursday (24) morning (past 24 hours), 1,890 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. 65 deaths have been reported including 40 males and 25 females on 22 June 2021.

By Thursday (24) morning, 542 persons have left 19 QCs after completion of their quarantining process. As of this morning (24), 7,911 persons in 73 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.

By this morning (24) at the time this communiqué was released, movement restrictions that have been enforced would continue.
