542 Brigade Headquarters in Manthottam, Mannar is in the process of completing its new building complex using pre-fabricated technology in the first floor of the construction underway.
Being the first of its kind built on a first floor, this complex houses the library, TV room, café, mess hall for other ranks, recreation club for non-commissioned officers and a few other units.
The project was initiated by 542 Brigade Commander as a viable solution to the space problem prevailing in the premises. The new building premises provides all requirements for a full-pledged military camp.
