Brigadier Sumith Nandana assumed office as the 26th Brigade Commander of the 533 Brigade in Galnewa on Thursday (21) amid religious observances.
The newly appointed Brigade Commander was honoured in a Guard Turnout at the entrance to the Brigade HQ.
Afterwards, Brigadier Sumith Nandana signed an official document to signify the official acceptance of the new appointment.
Similarly, he was also invited to plant a sapling at the venue before he addressed the troops.
