6 Sri Lanka Light Infantry troops of the 533 Brigade under command to the 53 Division with sponsorship, provided by the donor, Engineer Prasanna Sandakelum gave away a stock of dry rations to 52 low-income families in Mihinthale Bogahayaya area who have been badly affected due to the economic crisis on Sunday (16).
Troops on being informed of the difficulties those families were undergoing, sought the assistance of the donor for sponsorship.
The Commander, 533 Brigade and a few senior Officers attended the event.
