The 52 Division HQ of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna turned 27 years of age on Wednesday (24). The anniversary was marked in a series of religious and formal events inside the 52 Division premises.
A “Bodhi Pooja” was held at the 52 Division temple in order to invoke blessings on the 52 Division and its troops before the General Officer Commanding, 52 Division, Major General Sanjeewa Frenando was saluted in a parade after he was greeted to a Guard Turnout at the entrance to the Division HQ.
During a formal address he reminded the history of the Division and its achievements and community-oriented projects that have been so far launched in the area and highlighted the importance of maintaining the status quo. An all rank lunch brought the anniversary arrangements to an end.
