Colonel Jude Fernando took office as the new Brigade Commander of the 511 Brigade of the 51 Division under the Security Force HQ- Jaffna on 14 January 2021 amid religious observances at the Brigade Headquarters in Jaffna.
The newly-appointed Brigade Commander left his signature for an official document to signify the official acceptance of the office.
