5,037 persons still in quarantine at 75 tri service-managed QCs- NOCPCO

As of this morning (6), a total of 484 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, were 5 Sri Lankan expatriates and other 479 are locally-identified ones, including the majority 121 from Colombo district, 110 from Gampaha district, 30 from Gall and other 218 are from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (6), the total number of COVID-19 positive cases reported from Minuwangoda garment factory employees and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster stands at 41,995. Meanwhile, 35,504 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients from the fish market (38,896) and Minuwangoda (3,059) clusters have been discharged from hospitals.

By this morning (6), a total of 45,725 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 38,261 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 7,243 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.

By this morning (6), 445 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres in the past 24 hours. 02 more deaths have been reported from Kalutara and Matale area in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 217 by this morning (6).

By this morning (6), the flight UL 104 from the Maldives with 18 passengers and the flight QR 668 from Qatar with 24 passengers, the flight Q2 6944 from the Maldives with 32 passengers, the flight UL 218 from Qatar with 50 passengers and the flight UL 226 from Dubai with 82 passengers have arrived.

The flight UL 1042 from India with 22 passengers, the flight UL 190 from Bangladesh with 18 passengers, the flight UL 303 from Singapore with 10 passengers and the flight UL 881 from China with 9 passengers are expected to arrive here within the day. They all were to be referred to Quarantine Centers (QCs), managed by tri-services upon their arrival after formalities at the airport.
