321 Recovered Ones Leave Hospitals & Care Centres - NOCPCO

As of this morning (16), a total of 331 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID -19 in the past 24 hours. 83 Sri Lankan expatriates and 248 of those positive cases are locally-identified ones, including the majority 49 from Matara District, 34 from Matale and Gambaha districts and 25 from Colombo District and 103 others from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (16), a total of 88,237 persons, inclusive of 84,248 of the fish market and Minuwangoda Brandix cluster have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 84,968 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 2,737 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centers.

In the past 24 hours, 321 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. 5 more death have been reported from Kochchikade, Pamumugama, Jaffna, Gampaha and Kalutara (North) areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID -19 death toll in the country rose to 532 by this morning (16).
