3 SLNG-Renovated Lake Dam Vested in Authorities

122 Brigade troops of the 12 Division of the Security Force HQ-Central completed the renovation of the Karawile Lake dam in Sella Kataragama at the request of the villagers and Irrigation officials and formally vested it back in the villagers on Monday (29).

Major General Lanka Amarapala, General Officer Commanding, 12 Division, and the Irrigation Engineer of the Irrigation Department closely supervised the renovations, carried out by 3 Sri Lanka National Guard (3 SLNG) troops of the 122 Brigade with the help of villagers living in the area before it was formally intimated to relevant authorities.

122 Brigade Commander, 3 SLNG Commanding Officer and villagers were there during the re-opening of the renovated dam patch.
