3 More Deaths Reported-NOCPCO

As of this morning (20), a total of 517 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 11 Sri Lankan expatriates and 506 of those positive cases are locally-identified ones, including the majority 152 from Colombo district, 111 from Gampaha district, 57 from Kandy district and 186 others from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (20), a total of 78,936 persons, inclusive of 75,382 of the fish market and Minuwangoda Brandix cluster have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 72,565 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 5,941 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centers.

In the past 24 hours, 743 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. 3 more deaths have been reported from Matale, Nugegoda and Kalagedihena areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 433 by this morning (20).
