As of this morning (11), a total of 963 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 8 Sri Lankan expatriates and 955 of those positive cases are locally-identified ones, including the majority 298 from Colombo district, 225 from Gampaha district, 81 from Kalutara district and 321 others from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
By this morning (11), a total of 72,173 persons, inclusive of 65,601 of the fish market have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 65,643 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 6,155 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centers.
In the past 24 hours, 591 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. 5 more deaths have been reported from Wattala, Colombo 5, Aluthgama, Gampaha and Wellampitiya areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 375 by this morning (11).
