On an initiative taken by 57 Division with the blessings of the Security Forces Headquarters, Kilinochchi, a Handball tournament was organized recently with the participation of 28 schools in Kilinochchi.
The tournament continued for two days at Kilinochchi Madya Maha Vidyala playground saw eight school teams qualify for the semi-finals.
The handball team (male) from Kilinochchi Ramanadapuram and the team (female) from Wadakachchi Madya Maha Vidyalaya emerged winners at the final rounds.
Trophies and certificates to both winners and participants were distributed after the final round amidst cheering and applause.
